Kayonza District Welcomes REG and Contractor to Expand Electricity Access in Four Sectors

On this Thursday 29 May 2025, the Vice Mayor in charge of Economic Development, Munganyinka Hope, welcomed a team from the Rwanda Energy Group (REG), accompanied by the contractor LTC, who will be implementing a major electricity distribution project across four sectors of Kayonza District: Kabare, Nyamirama, Ruramira, and Gahini.

This initiative is part of the national program "Electricity for All", which aims to ensure that every household in Rwanda has access to reliable electricity. The project is expected to significantly improve the quality of life for residents, boost economic activities, and accelerate development in the targeted areas.

The district leadership reaffirmed its commitment to work closely with all partners and communities to facilitate the smooth implementation of the project and ensure that no one is left behind in the journey toward universal electrification.
